Residency Opportunities

Artists in Residence applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

​

The studio is comprised of 2 wheels, a medium sized Bailey slab roller, two tables on wheels. a glaze lab, 3 electric kilns, and 1 Wood Fired Kiln. There are also old electric kilns ready for conversion to accommodate cone 6 or 10 firings. Ceramic Residence share the studio with myself and schedules are made for both solo and shared studio time.

We can also accommodate, all 2D mediums with a studio space

 

Sculptors: Limited equipment is available including:

Welding equipment: mig/tig welder, metal chop saw, grinders, etc, with a stable metal source. For larger equipment needs a shop can be arranged. 

​

Wood working: Construction grade wood working equipment, chop saw, sanders, jig saw, skill saw, sawza, chisels, etc. 

and 

ample outdoor space to work and some indoor storage/work space. 

​

We can provide housing but a proper 'fit' is necessary since this is a family space. No drinking is permitted during the residency and any smoking must be treated respectfully and never around children.  

Artists in Residence will be provided with an exhibition at the Gunnison Arts Center and an open studio event at the Dome Home Creatives to provide opportunities to sell work.

Price for Residencies vary on multiple factors. 

Housing, work trade opportunities, medium needs, and duration.
