Impermascapes

"Impermascapes" are unique ceramic creations that artfully capture the transient textures of riverbeds from the, Slate, Gunnison, Arkansas, Colorado, Animas, and Rio Grande Rivers. Each piece is crafted through a poetic process: plaster castings are taken from the river's edge during low water, preserving and documenting the intricate textures shaped by the veins of our ecosystems. This approach celebrates and honors the ephemeral nature of water, reminding us of its vital role in nourishing our bodies and sustaining our homelands.
